HOUSTON – The votes are in and the 2017 Texan Live Offensive Player of the Year is Isaiah Spiller from the Klein Collins Tigers.
Spiller was in total command in 2017 averaging nearly seven yards per carry on 198 attempts.
Led by a stellar offensive line, Spiller was also able to reach the end zone 23 times in 2017 with 1285 yards on the ground.
In the 12 games that Spiller participated in, eight of those were games he rushed for 100-yards or more. Overall, he averaged over 107 yards per game.
If that was not enough to solidify his impressive campaign, he also had 15 receptions through the air for 313 yards and four touchdowns.
In the 2017 UIL playoffs Spiller rushed for 100+ yards in two of the three games and reached the end zone six times helping the Tigers to the regional semifinals.
Coach Drew Svoboda will have another season with his running back as Spiller will return for his senior season hoping to reach even greater heights in 2018.
