The legacy that Kirk Martin has left at Manvel has been impressive.
In 2017, he guided his team to a state finals appearance and nearly grabbed that state title going 14-1 overall on the season. It was the second state title appearance for Manvel.
Well, his tenure at Manvel has come to an end. Just today it was confirmed that he will be leaving to become a coach at the collegiate level.
According to multiple sources, he is believed to be taking a position as a QB coach for Syracuse University.
Manvel qualified for UIL playoffs eight straight seasons under Martin’s guidance since 2006 when he began the program. Overall, he compiled a record of 108-25.
He was recently honored with the 2017 Texan Live Coach of the Year honor.
