Another softball season is in the books. We were treated to some entertaining and thrilling series in 2017.
Barbers Hill and Willis gave us an unbelievable regional final fueled by a walk-off homerun and a no-hitter.
Kingwood Park reached heights never met before while Crosby and Dayton showed why district 21-5A is so superior in 5A Texas.
Santa Fe continued to show their consistent playoff success and Brenham came oh-so-close to a regional championship appearance.
Manvel and Galena Park are another couple of teams that fought their way into the UIL playoffs and picked up bi-district championships in the process.
A couple of teams we couldn’t overlook were from Aggie Country: College Station and Bryan. The Vikings were a win away from knocking off the eventual state finalists. The Cougars put 26 runs on the board in just one postseason game en route to a bi-district championship.
A representative has been selected from each one of these programs that stood out on their team whether it was from overall performance, leadership, or simply coming through in the clutch.
