Pair of Tomball Memorial football players sign on National Signing Day

Tomball Memorial High School football coaches James Gower and Greg Batiste celebrated with Chase Poynor and Colton Peterson as they accepted scholarships to play football in college on National Signing Day. 

Coach Gower described Poynor as a disciplined football player who maintains a strong character.  Poynor will attend Southern Nazarene University in Oklahoma, where he plans to study business. 

Peterson looks forward to attending Lamar University.  Coach Batiste explained that Peterson is a hard worker who is committed to football and his academics.  While playing on the Lamar University football team, he plans to study business and eventually pursue a master’s degree.
