HOUSTON – Jason Glenn was officially announced as the fourth head coach in Klein Oak football history on Friday morning.
Glenn served as the Panthers’ defensive coordinator last season, taking over for David Smith, who was the head coach from 1996-2016.
This is Glenn’s second head coaching stint. In 2011, after helping guide Pearland to the 2010 5A Division I State Championship, Glenn became the head coach at Chavez. In his lone season at Chavez, Glenn led the program to a 4-6 record. The next season, Glenn headed to Klein Oak.
Before getting into coaching, Glenn spent six seasons in the NFL. The former Texas A&M star, who was drafted in the 2001 NFL Draft, spent time with the New York Jets (2001-2004), Miami Dolphins (2005) and Minnesota Vikings (2006) before retiring in 2007.
