Kevin Flanigan leaves Beaumont West Brook to lead Tomball Cougars

HOUSTON – Kevin Flanigan will spend his 21st season as a head football coach in Texas leading the Tomball Cougars.
First reported by the Beaumont Enterprise’s David Thompson, Flanigan accepted the head coaching position on Thursday, ending his five-year run at Beaumont West Brook.
Flanigan was 32-23 overall at West Brook, pushing his overall career record to 126-96.
Prior to Tomball, Flanigan was the head coach at Troup (1997-1999), Orangefield (2000-2003), Crosby (2004-2011) and finally West Brook (2012-2016).
In his 20 years as a head coach, Flanigan has led his programs to one out-right District Championship, one Co-District Championship, three second place finishes and nine third place finishes. Flanigan led West Brook to an 11-2 mark this past season.
Tomball ISD did not have a statement at this time on the hiring of Flanigan
