In the month of November last year, Dr. Ted Landry, the principal of Kingwood High School, went up on the rooftop of the school for their annual fund. What every one thought was a clever idea turned out to be a remarkable fundraiser bringing in $28,000 in one night for Kingwood High School!
Dr. Landry went up on the rooftop at the beginning of school with all the amenities he could possibly need. With each tier of donations (for instance, in increments of $500/$1000) an item or items would be taken away. By the end of the 24 hours, Dr. Landry was left with only a sleeping bag.
Back by popular demand: Dr. Landry will go on the rooftop again this year! Next Thursday, September 11th, he will be on the roof for 24 hours raising money for the annual fund and Texan Live will be there to capture it all!
More information will be released as the event approaches but get your check books ready! Let’s help raise money for Kingwood High School and watch it all on TexanLive.com!
